Domestic Violence Help
Shepherd’s Gate:
Shelter for battered and homeless woman and children for up to three weeks, and can provide food and clothing in moderation. They provide a safe haven for women and their children who are homeless because of abusive relationships, addictions, loss of financial support and other factors.

Shelter for battered women, and rape crisis center. They provide shelter, counseling, support groups, legal services for temporary restraining orders, information and referrals.

Support Group:
A domestic violence support group is held 5:00 to 6:30 pm every Wednesday at Tri-Valley Haven, 3663 Pacific Ave., Livermore, for women every Wednesday evening. Survivors will be able to address issues of abuse in relationships. The cost is $40 for every eight weeks, or is based on a sliding scale. Call (925) 449-5845 ext 202 for detailes.

Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach
API Legal Outreach
(formerly Nihonmachi Legal Outreach), is a community-based, social justice organization serving the Asian and Pacific Islander communities of the Greater Bay Area. With a staff of 20 in offices in San Francisco and Oakland, we provide legal, social, and educational services in more than a dozen languages and dialects including Cantonese, Chiu-Chow, Hindi, Ilocano, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, Taiwanese, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
"This past year, we represented more than several hundred of these survivors of domestic violence in four Bay Area counties: San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Mateo. We provided legal counseling and referrals to thousands more."
