BayLegal provides free legal services in the priority areas of housing, domestic violence, public benefits and health access. Our full legal representation is limited to eligible clients who live in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and San Mateo. Our attorneys and advocates assist many individuals and families with complex legal issues involving unlawful detainer (evictions), Social Security, Medi-Cal, spousal abuse and array of other legal issues within our priorities.

Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach
API Legal Outreach
(formerly Nihonmachi Legal Outreach), is a community-based, social justice organization serving the Asian and Pacific Islander communities of the Greater Bay Area. With a staff of 20 in offices in San Francisco and Oakland, we provide legal, social, and educational services in more than a dozen languages and dialects including Cantonese, Chiu-Chow, Hindi, Ilocano, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, Taiwanese, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
"This past year, we represented more than several hundred of these survivors of domestic violence in four Bay Area counties: San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Mateo. We provided legal counseling and referrals to thousands more."
